Shell SharePoint Programme – Migration Services Project Manager
TSI is responsible for setting up and delivering the service for hosting Shell´s unstructured information (current scope in range of 40 TB) on a SharePoint platform. The high level architecture suggests hosting most of the data on a BPOS (Office 365) platform run by Microsoft Online Services. In addition data will be hosted on farms within TSI data centres. TSI provides migration services to migrate users, documents and data from legacy systems LiveLink, SP2007, Public Folders, Shared Drives to SP2010.
Jeroen was promoted to Project Manager halfway the engagement with TSI. In this role he was responsible for the design and delivery of the SharePoint Migration service to the Shell business. He managed a team of 22 FTE, including a service manager, an offshore development team of 5 FTE, an offshore migration execution factory team of 10 FTE and an onshore service, architecture and development team of 5 FTE.
What was delivered was: An effective SharePoint migration service, executed by a offshore factory in Chennai India. Automation and of this process by onshore and offshore developers Migration service delivery of the initial volume of migrations from SP2007, Shared Drives and LiveLink to SP2010 on Microsoft BPOS (Office 365) A scaling approach and plan to scale the operation in order to migrate the full 40 TB

TSI is responsible for setting up and delivering the service for hosting Shell´s unstructured information (current scope in range of 40 TB) on a SharePoint platform. The high level architecture suggests hosting most of the data on a BPOS (Office 365) platform run by Microsoft Online Services. In addition data will be hosted on farms within TSI data centres.
Jeroen was responsible for design of the service, infrastructure and processes required to migrate all content in scope from the legacy environments onto the new platform. Current important legacy applications are SharePoint 2007, Open Text LiveLink, Shared Drives, Exchange Public Folders, and Groove. The Operating Model contains services outsourced to an offshore service provider, who will execute the actual data migration. The service will contain data migration execution services, and consulting services. The migration execution is supported by an automated migration toolset. Jeroen managed a number of technical architects, and worked with a service manager that supported Jeroen in the overall design and specification.

Managing Information SharePoint Programme – Service Development & Service Delivery Manager
The Managing Information (MI) Programme is tasked with developing and implementing SharePoint & peripheral systems, as document management system & collaboration platform for all Shell businesses.
Jeroen was responsible for Service Development & Service Delivery of Adoption & Migration Services. This entails developing services, aimed both at delivering the data migration and employee adoption, and the delivery of these Adoption & Migration Services. These services contain As-Is Analysis, Legacy to Destination Mapping, Legacy Restructuring, Destination Design & Configuration, Data Migration Planning & Scheduling, and Migration Execution. He manages a consultancy team tasked with delivery of Adoption & Migration Services. The Service Development has resulted in the development of an Adoption & Migration Methodology, consisting of a Service Catalogue, an End-to-End Process Model, RACI diagrams (detailing the interface between the various programme teams and the business teams), Service Delivery Guides defining & specifying the services, a repeatable project plan, and a Process Control Model. The Service Delivery has resulted in a series of migrations of about 1 Tb of data & 1200 users. In addition, in this context, Jeroen was responsible for the delivery of end user support, liaising with the existing support organisation, and dedicated floor walking services.
2008 – 2009 Shell Information Technology International B.V. Den Haag, NL
Information Management Transition Project Manager
Jeroen was responsible for Service Development for Adoption & Migration for the global scope of Shell businesses, resulting in a multi-year Transition & Migration Strategy, including end-user approach, an approach to sourcing & management of Data Migration, and an approach to destination design & configuration for 160.000 end-users & 500+Gbytes of data. He identified demand for the new Enterprise Information Management system within the various Shell Businesses. He participated in the development of an investment proposal for the complete programme, in preparation of a make or buy (outsourcing) decision for SharePoint Hosting, Application Development and Adoption & Migration services.

HR Services Implementation Project Manager
Jeroen managed the first stages of the implementation of Shared Services for HR Local Transactional Activities in Europe & Africa, resulting in a full implementation programme set-up, including a complexity & readiness analysis per country, country briefings, an effective governance structure & local implementation teams, and localised implementation approaches and plans.

HR Services Expat Services Programme Management Officer
Jeroen set up Programme Management for implementation of Shared Services for Global HR Expat Transactional Activities, which resulted in a global implementation approach & plan, an effective governance structure, a bought-in business case & approved budget, and effective programme management mechanics, such as team & individual roles & responsibilities, issue & risk logs, and reporting structures.
2005 - 2006 Bloksma B.V. Almere, the Netherlands (metal)
Performance Improvement Project Manager
Jeroen’s performance improvement intervention resulted in improvement of lead time & productivity of pre-production processes (sales support, order intake, engineering, technical drawing & planning) through process development & control, a new performance management tool & meeting structure, reinforced tasks & responsibilities, and service level agreements with internal customers & suppliers. This resulted in increased reliability of process lead-times, and a productivity increase of 40 %.
A parallel project managed by Jeroen, aimed at performance improvement of a quality inspection department, resulted in reduced lead-time through process simplification & improved information systems, and increased productivity through workload control.
2005 ABX Logistics, Brussels, Belgium and Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands
Project Manager - Centralisation of head office activities
For this Logistics Service Provider, Jeroen set up and managed a joint client & consulting team, resulting in the centralisation of two head office organisations & locations into one single organisation & location. The team standardised financial, purchasing, IT and HR processes & systems, resulting in improved process control. Jeroen managed staff consequences of the centralisation resulting in 1.7 M Euros annual savings.

2004 – 2005 Richemont S.A., Friebourg, Switzerland (luxury goods)
Project Manager - Improvement of shared support services
For a site with Global Supply Chain & Data Centre activities, Jeroen set up & managed a client team aimed at decreasing costs of overhead, and improving performance of support services. The team realised annual savings of 2.8 M Euros on a budget of 21 M through elimination of non-value added activities in facility management, improved procurement of IT services, outsourcing of non-core activities in HR & facility management, development of a shared service centre for finance & HR, and flexibilisation of project management staff.
