Set up EMEA salary control system to ensure timely and correct payments to all employees. In first instance in each country by third party companies, but in a later stage in house, by a special software package created in house to minimize expenses and to ensure 100% correctness of salary payments, especially for all employees which have every month/quarter commission / overtime payments.
Have implemented an ERP solution for all subsidiaries within EMEA. In addition sound knowledge of several reporting packages such as, BI, CRM.
Prepare the tax returns within EMEA. (Corporate income taxes, VAT, wages taxes)
Set up of shared service centre in order to support and control all transactional processes within EMEA. This included the total project from scratch. Set up procedures and ERP system - hiring and training of staff to cover 24 countries.
Set up License program for all software packages in order to ensure timely action and to verify supplier delivers agreed software and yearly upgrades as specified in license contract.
Treasury and Tax aspect and an excellent knowledge of IFRS, Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP.
Set up treasury system using Sungard\'s Avantgard Quantum software.

Communications: Excellent presentations skills, issuing clear and concise instructions to employees, chairing meetings and dealing tactfully and diplomatically with customers. Customer satisfaction to increase overall business relationship.

Largest direct deal $ 1.2m. Launched successfully new products and acquired new channel partners in order to achieve higher market share and revenue. Built sales organization from ground zero to EMEA team that generated $ 5m in hardware revenue within 2 years.

Marketing: set up various marketing campaigns. Special marketing campaigns with retail chains. Telemarketing - Merchandisers - E-marketing - Flyers. Initiated marketing campaigns with partners to create demand with end-users.
Set up various events-seminars and partner conferences

2003 - 2006 Interim Financial Controller for several European and US companies, such as;
DST systems - Kansas City = Prepared report with European competitors
Tridion - Amsterdam = Set up contract management system for their software and
Maintenance contracts within EMEA and the process of their consultancy processes with a
link to their ERP system. Plus normal financial -administration duties and year-end close.
Total Solutions - Amsterdam = Streamlining their administration for training and consultancy
with a link to their ERP system. Set up two offshore companies in Dubai for their
international training -consultancy program.
Continental Mil Processing - Amsterdam/Vancouver = set up their whole accounting - finance
and treasury system, prepared their policy manual for their business within EMEA.

2000 - 2003 Seagate Software (Crystal Decisions) as: Distribution Manager EMEA
Sales & marketing through channel for Crystal Report (2tier) and
Crystal Enterprise (1tier)
Sales & marketing through 2nd tier channel for various products.
Set up EDI system to control and monitor the inventory - weekly reporting on sell-through by
Distributors in 25 countries within EMEA and sell-out by all major large resellers. Same way

1996 - 1999 Symantec EMEA as: Communication Director for the 1st year and after that
as: Distribution Sales & Marketing Director
Sales & marketing through 2nd tier channel for various products.
Set up EDI system to control and monitor the inventory - weekly reporting on sell-through by
Distributors in 25 countries within EMEA and inventory and sell-out by all major large
Resellers. Prepared reports for these distributors and resellers in order to show where they can
created a higher turnover and what impact was of certain marketing campaigns.

1990 - 1995 Independent Interim Manager
Worked for various national and international companies in the field of;
Media ( Carat) - Leasing - IT projects - Financial Controller - Treasury functions - Strategic
planning and market analysis. Set up of E-commerce for companies within the
following industries; hospitality - media - ICT hardware plant and
software sales.

1987 - 1990 Comdisco France (EMEA -FE) as: Vice President Finance and Administration
Leasing company for computer and communication equipment.
Main task where to ensure that all leasing deals where closed in line with company regulations
and that the finance structure with local banks and finance houses was done correctly.
Responsible for the monthly statutory records in various currencies and management reporting
in us dollars. Besides that the salary administration was a “major” task, because more than
75% of the employees where paid on variable commission and we where unhappy with some
of the local third party vendors. Set up in house system.
