The main challenge in this position was to improve the liquidity and profit within 6 month. Besides
managing the company as a MD and carrying through a total reorganization key-account management was implemented.

Production and trading company for electromagnetic components, motors and frequency invertors for machines, devices and fixed assets (like building management, factories, power plants). We are the market leader in Switzerland, 23 employees (4 sales, Engineers, 5 indoor sales, 1 accounting, 12 production).
Domestic and international sales (approx. 20%, my responsibility) to OEMs, end users and distributors.
One of the biggest challenges in this job was to merge 2 Swiss companies, the implementation of totally new software packages (trade, accounting and production) plus a personnel reorganization. A new Sales Controlling system was implemented by me (key account plans and sales project management).

I left this position because the headquarters moved the whole production outside Switzerland. It is only a sales office now with a small number of employees.

American subsidiary for the Benelux countries incl. an European bonded warehouse. 37 employees. I was responsible for the total management of the company, budget and results (EBIT and net profit). One major task was a thorough reorganization of the company (EDP and personnel) which was necessary to convert the company into modern market needs after the former managing director unexpectedly passed away after 27 years. Under my supervision the ISO9000 certificate was reactivated.
Customers: Besides big OEMs also installers and end users. World wide service and repair work carried out.

Special tasks: Lead and motivate people, enhance market share and manage a professional marketing, market introduction of new products, implementation of new hard- and software (order entry, accounting, warehouse etc.), reorganization of the company, implementation of ISO 9002 by end of 1999.

Member of the management team.

Position, function: International and national marketing for the alpha400 software packages plus direct sales of these incl. hardware and services. One employee reported to me.
Agency for Switzerland of the Swedish software packages IBS. Alpha400 and IBS are software packages for whole sale, production, warehousing and accounting. Key account management. A very important task was to build up a value added reseller network in Europe plus personally supporting them in sales and technical questions. Member of the management team.

companies and multi nationals). Product management, software packages for PC-networks and midrange systems.

1985 – 1990 Manager Logistics at Santrade Ltd,

Daughter company of the Swedish SANVIK group. (manages the world wide distribution and
logistic for all SANDVIK products)

Position: Right hand of the distribution manager, coordination of international logistics, marketing
and EDP projects. Further responsible for purchase and customer services of one product group
(heavy breaker tools for excavators, mines). 5 employees reported to me.
1980 – 1985 Sales Coordinator at Raychem AG,
CH-6340 Baar/Switzerland.

Import and whole sale of electro technique and electronic components plus heat cables for
construction and industry. Daughter company of the American headquarters in Menlo Park/CA.

Function: Sales coordination and purchasing of three product lines (electrical engineering, construction, pipe protection). One day per week outdoor salesman for electro technical products (main customers were power plants and big installers), whole Switzerland. Deputy system operator of an IBM S/34.
