Employer: Amafilter BV Alkmaar The Netherlands. Member of the Amafilter Group and manufacturers of industrial filters and separation systems. This Group is composed of several international business units which in total incorporate 250 employees and an annual turnover of € 100m. ERP Software used: Navision.

Role: Group Controller overseeing mainly the Dutch and German divisions in terms of improving timely and reliable reporting.

- To conduct, supervise & manage all financial processes
- To set up new business plans and departmental budgets.
- To improve on time delivery of spare parts.
- To reduce or maintain stable costs & maximize profit
- To advocate any relevant Group wide strategies & policies needed to sustain & better company/Group for the future
- To act as a central figure of control within Management Team.

NB: I left my employment due to the fact that my contract ended for this specific assignment with Amafilter.



March 2004- October 2004

Employer: Clever Stolz Lebensmittelwerke GMBH, Kleve Germany.

A former Unilever company German owned. The company was buying crude edible oil on the international Oil Contracts Market, where the crude oil was refined in both plants Kleve and Brake. Customers are local and international plants for margarine, creams and ice making. Approx. 240 employees and an annual turnover of € 150m. ERP Sotware used: SAP

Role: Bringing Material Management for both plants together from a financial perspective. My responsibility was to streamline the raw material needed for both plants in order to have full insight and purchasing the right material in time.

MODES & FUNCTIONS OF TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED:

Material Management:

Breakdown of sales back to source of raw material.
Coverage of sales contracts by purchase contracts.
Inventory control of both plants.
Schedule future deliveries based on stock en purchase contracts.
Keep track of material usage through both refineries and planning department.
Responsible for control of all purchase contracts on quantities and pricing.
Through combining to drive down cost for road- and river or sea vessel incoming and outgoing transportation cost


- Project was supposed to be followed by a role as financial controller but was ended as the company went bankrupt.

Employer: Flowserve Pumps Ltd Newark United Kingdom.


Manufacturer of pumps for the oil and gas, power- , chemical- , water- and food industry. Company is part of Flowserve Corporation a US based group of pump, valve and mechanical seal manufacturers. Annual turnover in UK >€ 100m and a total number of employees of 290. ERP Software used Oracle.


Role: Moved from Belgium to UK as financial controller to make the transfer from Belgian product lines to UK a success

Finance Management


Full financial responsibility for planning and control on five internal business units and MT member.
Coach of the transfer of all inventories plus machinery and equipment move from Belgium to UK.
Responsible for month end/quarterly/annual reporting based on US deadlines, as well as closing the financial books.
Special attention for balance sheet specifications with emphasis on prepayments, accruals and fixed assets.
In charge of all internal and external audits.
Upgrade from current sotware into Oracle 11i.
Reponsible books are in accordance with company policies and procedures, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley.
Implemented Cycle Counting system.
Improved DSO withing credit & collection department. and responsible for financing export business to risk countries.

Employer: Flowserve Pump Division Industrial Pumps- Petit Rechain. . Belgium

Manufacturer of modular industrial pumps for mainly chemical and food industry. Company is part of Flowserve Corporation a US based group of pump, valve and mechanical seal manufacturers. Annual turnover in Belgium >€ 35m and a total number of employees of 90. ERP Sofware package used: BPCS.

Role: Financial plantcontroller to make the merger between Durco and Flowserve easier.

Finance Responsibilities.


Full financial responsibility for planning and control based on companies objectives and strategies.
Responsible for European modular pump group consolidation. Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands are part of this consolidation.

Improved reporting on P&L< Balance and Cashflow as per guidelines from US parent based on US GAAP and internal policies and procedures. Shortened reporting deadlines.
Responsible with MD for change into Y2K
