Work Experience

2004 – 2007:
Project Manager and Personal Assistant to a Dutch Captain of Industries / Venture Capitalist: Managing all personal and business affairs of this person, some of my tasks:

- Managing Director of two smaller companies
- All financial affairs
- Contact with Swiss Banks
- Contacts with Trust Offices (involved in setting up off-shore companies)
- Evaluation and advice concerning legal agreements (international)
- Real Estate Management
- Yacht Management

Actively involved in the sale of this persons shares in a large group of companies and the acquisition of another company, owned by the family.
In this stage and for obvious reasons I am not allowed to reveal the name of the person, names of businesses or details of my tasks.

Projects:
- Centralisation of the Finance and Accounting department.
- Setting up a new company structure
- Ending one company’s aviation activities, including the sale of the family’s aircraft to an international buyer

2003 – 2004:
Independent Consultant / Interim Manager
A temporary project: working with a German/Dutch logistics company. This project contained:
Phase I: Business and Process Analysis.
Phase II: Advising and Guiding the purchase process of a new IT infrastructure (including negotiation with suppliers).
Phase III: Guiding the implementation process. Focus on efficiency and ROI.

2001 – 2002:
TSM Business School as Marketing & Communications Director
Leading a team of marketing and sales professionals. Responsible for sales of a wide range of ‘knowledge products’, from International MBA’s to In-Company programmes which involved Business Intelligence, Knowledge Management and Consultancy Services.

2000 – 2001:
PinkRoccade Atribit as Interim / Project Manager.
PinkRoccade with its 7000 employees is one of the largest IT companies in Holland. Atribit is the division of PinkRoccade that employs 24 senior project managers. Projects:
- Fortis/Amev, insurance and banking, project audit for a major IT outsourcing project
- ING, project: project management involving the implementation of a back-office system
- Newmonday.com, a joint venture of Randstad and VNU, as project manager Web Services.

Also constantly involved in actively identifying business opportunities.

1999 – 2001:
Studying the International Full-Time MBA Programme at TSM Business School, a joint venture of the Twente University and the University of Groningen, graduated in August 2001. This MBA programme has a focus on management of technology empowered environments.

1984 – 1999:
MISAD, Management Information Systems – Founder, owner, and managing director of a company whose core business was to provide turn-key tailored solutions, including consulting services, business process analysis, software development, training and services.
Core products:
bar-coding systems, networking configurations, mobile / wireless systems, finance and accounting systems. As Managing Director direct responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Business Development and General Management.
In 1999 I sold my shares in the Business to my business partner.

Main customers – Mercedes Benz, Saab, Fluke Industrial, Nido Universal Machines, Scmidth Zervice Zentrum GmbH (Germany), Pharmacia, Roche Nicolas (the Netherlands and the UK), Nedan Zoetwaren, Textielfabriek Hatefa BV, Hamacher Logisitik GmbH (Germany) and its three distributors in the Netherlands, Caldic BV.

1982 – 1984:
Friendship Computers - System Analyst / Programmer. Analysis, design and development of administrative applications for varied clients (tailor-made software). Design and development of a standard application for Finance and Accounting in Ux Basic, Cobol, Oasis and Xenix environment.

1981 – 1982:
MAI Computer Industries – System Analyst / Programmer IT department. Design and implementation, maintenance and modification of the administrative software system.


Education

1999 – 2001, International Full-time MBA Programme at TSM Business School, a joint venture of the University of Twente and the University of Groningen. Classes were completed July 2000, followed by several months of practical assignment, which were combined with my job at PinkRoccade at that time. Graduation in 2001. The MBA Programme’s emphasis was on General Management in Technology empowered environments, International Business and Managerial Skills.

Extensive business, management and administrative experience through leading my own company for over 15 years and through analysing other company’s business and administrative structures.

Sales experience: able to identify and offer (complex) (IT) concepts. Familiar with negotiating tenders involving 6 figures and above.
