Pretec / Bell & Howell is a technical sales and service organisation with 51 employees. They sell and service mailhandling equipment with as core business inserting systems. It is a business-to-business organisation in capital goods (in the range of fl. 15.000 to fl. 1.000.000 per machine). Advising and problem solving is in this type of business more important then direct selling. Service en maintenance of these, mostly mechanical equipment is a major part of the business.
Als general manager I was also a member of the European Management Team, located at the Euro-pean headquarters in London. The worldwide head office is located in Durham, North Carolina, USA.

I have been working in this company for nine years as financial controller Europe. The European headquarters of this company was located in Soestduinen. They produced photographic films and paper for the graphics industry My main job was to set up the budgets with the European sales offices, both financial as in quantities, and to plan these results into the production budget to come to an over-all budget for the company. Quarterly I controlled, and when necessary reviewed this budget, and made quarterly management reports..
