- Establish a new Service Parts Logistics function for Assembléon including the following elements;
- Disentangle Assembléon’s Service Parts Logistics functions (warehousing, planning, order management and procurement) from the Philips Consumer Electronics organisation.
- Establish an outsourced warehouse, including a formal RFQ process.
- Design and implement new business processes and supporting IT business applications.

- Manage, optimize and expand the newly established customer service and logistics departments. Including a 3rd party European Distribution Centre and regional warehouses across Europe.
- Substantially reduce overall inventory and logistics costs.

1998 - 2001
Employed by TRW Integrated Supply Chain Solutions in the Netherlands. TRW ISCS used to be one of the leading system integrators related to Supply Chain software from QAD (e.g. MfgPro) with about 350 employees in Europe.

• 1999 – 2001
In the position of Consultant Manager responsible for managing a team of functional consultants as well as being an International Project Manager.
Projects were mostly related to European ERP roll outs. My position was normally to be the European Project Manager or the expert regarding supply chain management on some shorter assignments. Responsibilities within these projects included for example the development of core models, budget control, project reporting, overall business concepts, coaching local project managers/consultants etc.

• 1998 – 1999
In the position of International Project Manager with the same responsibilities as described above, however without the internal TRW management tasks.


1991 – 1998
Held several positions within Ohmeda at different international locations. Ohmeda, with sites in 30 countries and 5,000 employees world-wide, was involved in the manufacturing, sales and distribution of medical equipment and disposables.

• 1997 – 1998
Business Consultant based at the Ohmeda site in Godalming, England. Projects were mostly related to the optimization of the supply chain processes of the Ohmeda sites in Europe and supporting ERP implementations in Japan and the US.

• 1996 - 1997
Project Manager for the ERP implementation at the Ohmeda site in Sydney, Australia. This site was responsible for the sales, distribution and service of Ohmeda’s medical equipment and disposables within Australia.

• 1995 - 1996
Project Manager at the manufacturing facility of Ohmeda in Singapore.
- Optimization project of supply chain processes, especially warehousing and distribution.
- Responsible for the complete ERP system implementation at this site.

• 1993 - 1995
Planning Manager at the manufacturing facility of Ohmeda in Singapore. In addition to the day-to-day management of the planning department, tasks and responsibilities were mostly related to the transfer of manufacturing activities from plants in The Netherlands, the UK and the US to this factory in Singapore (from 200  600 employees in 2 years time).

• 1991 - 1993
Senior Planner for the manufacturing and distribution facility of Ohmeda in Bilthoven, The Netherlands. In the last 6 months my main responsibility became the transfer of the manufacturing activities to the Ohmeda factory in Singapore.




1987 - 1991
Held several positions within Brabant Alucast Products, Oss, The Netherlands. Brabant Alucast Products is an aluminum molding factory and was part of the Swedish Volvo company.

• 1989 - 1991
Production planner and responsible for the overall production and materials planning of this factory.

• 1988 - 1989
Responsible for the implementation of a sophisticated Shop Floor Control system. Main characteristics of this system were: on-line machine registration, and real-time management information.

• 1987 - 1988
Started as distribution planner, responsible for all distribution and warehouse related functions within this factory.

Education

• APICS certified in 1991 as a result of completing the following modules: Material Requirements Planning, Production Activity Control, Inventory Management, Master Planning, Capacity Management and Just In Time.

• Diploma in Logistics Management in 1989 from the Instituut voor Bedrijfswetenschappen, The Netherlands.

• HAVO diploma in 1983. Graduated in Dutch, English, Mathematics, Biology, Economics and Physics.

• Several additional courses and trainings related to supply chain management, project management, ERP systems and APS tools (e.g. Adexa and Demantra).
