Henrion Ludlow Schmidt, Europe’s premier brand and corporate identity consultants, with offices in London, Hamburg and Vienna. Clients include BAA, Deutsche Bank, KLM, London Electricity, London Underground, Mercedes-Benz, and Roche. Henrion, Ludlow Schmidt is noted for its ‘holistic’ approach to brand and corporate identity. My role is to dramatically increase their profile through relevant media, conferences etc. I have successfully arranged several exclusive PR and seminar opportunities. At the same time, I am responsible for all new business activities, focusing on senior management and Board level contacts. Recent new business wins include a major project in Dubai, Unisantis, Cambridge Antibody Technologies, City Centre Restaurants, London Underground, Lend Lease, and Meridian Delta.

(June 1999 - July 2001): Strategy and Business Development Director

Glazer is a communications consultancy specialising in corporate identity and branding. Voted in the top 4 UK corporate identity consultancies by Design Week in March 2000. My responsibilities included: creating, developing and implementing a PR strategy to position Glazer in the forefront of our Industry to assist in new business development. Researching, developing and implementing marketing and new business strategy: running direct marketing and telemarketing campaigns, meeting new clients, presenting at Board Level, developing Glazer's multimedia offer: from positioning, selling, hiring new staff and running the division. Recent wins included: TfL, Royal Mail, First Choice Holidays, J.P. Morgan, Friends Ivory & Sime, Jiway.

(March 1998 - March 1999): General Manager
Sportsworld Media Group PLC – Dubai
Responsible for developing the profitability and sponsorship of the Dubai Tennis Open and Dubai Rugby 7’s. Also responsible for TV Programme Sales to the Middle East. Also General Manager – PROMAX – Dubai. Responsible for developing corporate communications, strategic planning, event marketing and graphic design for the Al Bwardy Group as well as for other blue-chip clients, including Nestle.

(1992-1997): Managing Director
GIZMO – Australia
Trading and marketing consultancy operating exclusively within the Gift Trade Fairs industry in Germany, UK, New Zealand and Australia. As well as promoting my own line of products as manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor, I was in charge of all marketing including advertising, PR, direct mail, sales, brochure development, stand design and graphic design. I represented 15 other companies as agent and was actively involved as a Marketing consultant on various projects (e.g. Money Show - Auckland, New Zealand).
(1990-1992): Group Account Director
Spectrum Communications - London
Reporting to the Chairman, I headed a department of 17 people, actively managing corporate communications for a variety of blue-chip clients including British Airways and the Stock Exchange. Co-ordinated trade launches, A/V and video, brochure, film and television production formed a daily part of my activities, as well as developing, creating and pitching proposals to new clients.

(1986-1990): Business Development Director
P&O Events - London
Reporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for the research, development and launch of new trade and public exhibitions and events including Daily Express Lifestyles 2000, Fire & Safety Exhibition, Winter Art and Antiques Fair and Fabrex. I headed a staff of eight and was personally responsible for consolidating all design agencies for our 24 events, thus effecting huge cost savings

(1985-1986): Marketing Consultant

I was responsible for the research and presentation of marketing reports for blue-chip clients in Europe and the Middle East. Clients included the SFIA, Blue Circle and Unilever.

(1982-1985): Vice President Marketing
First Regency Development Corp - Florida, Kuwait, Dubai
I was trained in all aspects of USA property sales and was then seconded to Sarasota, where I sold FRDC’s luxurious penthouses and duplex apartments in Sarasota and Naples, Florida. Promoted to Vice President Marketing in 1982, I was responsible for establishing agency representation throughout the Middle East (Dubai, Bahrain and Kuwait). Duties included conducting seminars and P.R. campaigns; seeking equity funding for joint venture development projects; marketing and promoting prestige Condominiums built by the company.

(1979-1982): Sales Manager
Hyatt Regency & Galadari Galleria – Dubai.
Assistant Sales Manager in the Galadari Galleria, Dubai’s largest development, quickly winning promotion – I was responsible for creating, co-ordinating and managing a global Sales and Marketing plan to lease 8 penthouses, 387 luxury duplex apartments, 40 shops and 30,000 sq.ft. office space to clients. We reached 90% occupancy six months ahead of schedule. I also assisted in promoting the hotel to corporate clients and organise special consumer promotional events
(e.g. Oscar de la Renta Fashion Show, Ice Skating Spectacular, Car Launches, Furniture Show).

(1975-1979): Foreign Staff Officer
HSBC- London, BIME - Tehran, BBME - Dubai
I was fully trained by the Bank in all aspects of Banking and Economics, passing my AIB Bankers DIPLOMA. Reporting to various department heads in foreign exchange, export/import, as well as six months dealing room training. I spent 6 months in Bahrain, a year in Iran, and I became Head of Current Accounts in Dubai, progressing to Private Clients Manager.
