• Responsible for the purchasing, quality and warehousing department.
• Also lead for developing strategic companywide sourcing plans with pre-dominantly Chinese vendors for castings and forgings.

Royal Vopak NV – Job title Global Category Manager:
• Responsible for the category management, for the global sourcing and procurement, direct categories: Pumps, Actuators, Marine Loading Arms (MLA), Tank Lining and Tank Paint and Composite Hoses.
• Responsible for the category management, for the global sourcing and procurement, indirect categories: Commercial car lease NL, Global travel management and IT procurement.
• Responsible for the category management, for the global sourcing and procurement, service category(s): Tank inspection.
Category management within Vopak, world’s largest independent tank storage operator, is managed from a global perspective. The Sourcing & Procurement organization globally, is a relatively new organization. Some tools have been developed in regards to Category management, on bases some standards such as Porters 5 forces, SWOT, stakeholder mapping, internal/external market research etc.

The main principles of category management are known within Vopak, but not widely spread. Also the business set-up with separate operational companies with their own P&L responsibility makes the implementation and joint formulation a challenge.

Flowserve (FSG) Global – Job title EMA Commodity Manager:
• Creation and implementation of strategic plans for the Commodity Castings. These plans entail global sourcing including, LCS initiatives costing information and sourcing roadmaps per, casting technology, per business unit and supplier. All based on cost information, technical capabilities and capacities of various WW suppliers.
• In conjunction to the above is also a new initiative for RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Planning) with main foundries, also LCS.
• Initiate and maintain Supply Chain AOP, Annual Operating Plan, linked to the above mentioned STRAP. Maintain consists out of monthly review of the spend and savings as well as sourcing compliance to the STRAP and its sourcing plans/roadmaps.
• Assist local BU’s with achieving best cost and best suited supply base for major projects
• SPOC, single point of contact, for the Dutch and Spanish Business Units.
• SPOC, single point of contact, for supply base Korea.
• Create supply base for a newly launched WW pump line, on bases new casting technology, which at first seems to be more expensive, but with deduction of added technological advantages are in fact cheaper and more suited in regards to total cost of ownership.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Supervisor Purchasing department:
• Responsible for the day to day purchasing team activities.
• Developing and implementing commodity plans and overall purchasing strategies together with the Purchasing manager.
• Responsible for the overall purchasing accountability numbers, creating and monitoring.
• Also still responsible as Metal Commodity manager.
• Low cost sourcing management, all projects for castings and metal components.
• Report out monthly purchasing results to Global Supply Chain and upper management.
• Jointly interview and hire new employees.
• Approve and sign Purchase orders up till 100K Euro.
• Monthly vendor analyses, on main KPI’s, OTD, spend and savings.
• Coordination of ECN (Engineering Change Notices) and NCR (Non Conformity Reports) for the department.
• Evaluation of quotes and negotiations for major projects.
• Attendance of various accountability and project meetings.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Key User PTP&QA Module(Oracle Implementation) - Oracle Project Team:
• Key/Super User implementation of the Oracle MRP system at Flowserve Etten-Leur, Modules were PTP(Purchase to Pay) and QA(quality Assurance), the components in these modules are:
- Purchasing
- Quality assurance
- Goods receiving
- Warehouse and inventory management
- Invoicing partially.
The goal of the project was to set up the oracle MRP system to fit the needs of the EL BU. Also training and system maintenance. Simultaneously a WW project for a global Oracle blue print set up for all future Oracle implementations. This also involved working and supervising the consultants hired for system settings.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Project Buyer – dept. Purchasing:
• Purchasing of Specific commodities Casting, Forgings and Fabrications.
• Handle all process enhancement suggestions and projects.
• Member of the above mentioned Non Conformity review board.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Supervisor Metals group – dept. Purchasing:
• Supervising the metal group consisting out of 5 people, administrative position, pattern position, expeditor position, buyer and myself as supervisor. Work consisted out of all tasks concerning purchases of metal products such as pump casing castings, small pump components, bar and hollow bar metals, baseplates and all other metal parts.
• Managing the metal commodities in future sourcing plans, market situations and best cost/delivery solutions.
• In this capacity also involvement and participation on global supply chain level was initiated, myself running WW sourcing projects for certain pump types.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Outsourcing Buyer – dept. Logistics/Planning:
• Same as above except this also included OE outsourcing, which entailed also the larger components such as pump casings etc.
• Part of the Non Conformity review board assessing parts fit for purpose and possible repair plans.
• Supervise “insourcing” i.e. guiding through machining of components for sister business units in times of under absorption.
• Trouble shooting.

Flowserve B.V.(FPD) in Etten-Leur – Job title Outsourcing buyer dept. CPG(central parts group):
• Cost calculation of working hours.
• Vendor selection on bases capacity and technological possibilities.
• Follow up of pending orders in and outhouse and close out orders with vendors.
• Assist estimators on cost calculations.

Yacht Technology in Breda - Job title Estimator spare parts at Flowserve Pump Division Etten-Leur:
• Estimator (calculator) spare parts: Calculation of spare parts selling price on bases all involved cost such as purchasing price raw materials, or buy out cost, labor hours, overhead etc. then relaying this to the sales organization WW.
• Trouble shooting.
