Chromaflo Technologies, Sittard ( in November 2013 CPS Color & Chromaflo Technologies merged)

Private Equity owned business. Originally hired as global BU Controller and part of the business unit management team to create more awareness within the organization (focus on working capital, GM improvements and lowering cost). After the merger with Chromaflo, that was/is managed per region, became finance director with responsibility over the EMEA region (+ €120m. revenue and production plants in Finland, NL (2) and Switzerland (tolling manufacturer)).

Family owned business with +€ 250m. revenue and production plants in NL, Germany (2) and Taiwan (tolling manufacturer). Originally hired to lead finance for several manufacturing entities (Glass and Solar production) in Germany. After 3 months being asked to fully switch to Solar to support their goal to become a listed company. Since then gained more and more responsibilities to ultimately leading the complete finance organization for production, logistics and sales & projects as a division controller. After the solvency of Scheuten Solar Holding started as finance director for Scheuten Solar Solutions that was financed by a Chinese investor. As an MT member helped to set up the foundations of what was then seen as a new industry leader.
Selected results:
- Managed daily challenges for production, R&D, logistics and sales
- Worked on the Initial Public Offering book building process
- Improved operational excellence through better reporting & KPI monitoring
- Negotiated cost price reductions at suppliers in Asia (China & Taiwan) and realized over € 250k. savings
- Improved working capital with several million Euro’s by better target setting and follow up
- Drawn the blue print and managed a complete re-design of worldwide goods flow plus adjustments to companywide ERP system which improved efficiency (among others lower stock levels) and transparency throughout the company (also done ERP redesign and implementation)
- Managed government grants (expansion production capacity in Germany) & annual impairment for R&D (+ € 30m. value on balance sheet)
- Owned the insurance portfolio and negotiated better coverage and annual savings of + € 300k.
- As interim head of IT build a new IT department and managed a complete new and more cost efficient IT infrastructure (saved over € 1 Million on external services)
- Managed an IFRS implementation & build a new finance department together with the group controller
- Together with CEO,COO and legal counsel part of project team that sold, in a short period of time, a factory in Germany
- Discussed on a detailed level with potential investors the sale (and lease back) of all manufacturing entities
- Written several business cases for joint ventures in Asia and afterwards managed day to day operational challenges
- Managed part of an arbitration procedure at Singapore International Arbitration Centre
