Work Experience

July 2008 till December 2008. CFO of the German subsidiary of a French Automotive Group (VALEO). Temporary mission to achieve reorganization and plant closing.

January-June 2008: Finance Group Controller of an English Automotive company WAGON AUOTOMOTIVE (16 plants in Europe, sales 900M€). Temporary mission (month / year end closing, budgets) to achieve reorganization and re-financing of the Group.

06.2007 till 11-2007: CFO of an English automotive company in France SENIOR AUTOMOTIVE.

09.2000 – 03.2007: Transition Manager as General Manager, CFO, or HR Manager for foreign companies (mostly American, English, German, Polish) working on my own account.

Main accomplishments:

10.2006 till March 2007: Moved to Poland as Finance Controller for the same group to support transfer of German activities to Polish subsidiary ARTECH POLSKA. Implement German ERP and develop product cost calculation for existing and new products.

09.2005 till 09.2006: Finance Controller of the German subsidiary of a French Group in the ink jet cartridges business, based in Dortmund. Monthly reporting, budget, and treasury forecast for German and Polish subsidiaries. ARTECH GmbH.

01.2005 to 07.2005: various missions as CFO and HR Mgr (organization of finance department of 7 plants in the mechanical industries, reporting, cash management):METALLIA Group.
Various mission of diagnostics (in Sweden).Closing plants in food business (West of France).

March 2004 till May 2004: Finance Mgr for a group of three plants in medicine business after a LBO.DELPHARM Group. Develop and organise treasury management with capital Investment Company and private shareholders.

07.2003 till February 2004: CFO Europe for an American company in the corn seeds business : Organization of Europe finance organization in the Netherlands, Italy and France. Stay in USA to transfer and implement specific US software. JC ROBINSON COMPAGNY.
Also involved in a mission in England for the THALES Group: cash management

In 2003: Act as adviser to buy two French companies for the German group Dynamit Nobel (Ceram Tech).Study the possibility to restructure 2 plants in one location and move high labour content product to East countries.

In 2001 and 2002: HR MGr for an English automotive company ( 2 missions 3 months, then 6 months).SENIOR AUTOMOTIVE. Renegotiation of all former company agreements with unions, especially early retirement program engaged.


2001: 4 months as HR Mgr for two plants of a German subsidiary in chemical business. SYLACHIM, subsidiary of CHEMETALL belonging to DYNAMIT NOBEL Group. Renegotiate of all former company agreements with unions.

2000- 2001: Start to work in interim management as CFO for a company breeding birds for hunting (GIBELVAGE). Implement total new organization between plants (inclusive data processing system). Develop statistical analysis to improve profitability.



10.1997 to 30.09.00 : Deputy General Manager of Dynamit Nobel France S.A.S, Hambach, France.
Dynamit Nobel is a subsidiary of a major German Corporation, which produces body components for the SMART cars. Annual sales: 210MillionFF .Headcount: 300 employees.

Responsibilities included:

The management of the Procurement, Production planning & logistics, Sales Administration and Customer service, Information Technology, Finance and Human Resources departments.

Accomplishments:

- Actively participated to the start-up of the company, and played a key role in achieving corporate production and delivery target.
- Financial management of more than 600 Million DM in capital expenditures, for the installation of manufacturing machinery.
- In less than 12 months, selected and hired more than 200 employees, including general labourers, qualified technicians and managers.
- Played a key role in the implementation, training and close supervision of a quality production planning, logistics and customer support team.
- Implementation of majority of SAP R 3 modules.
- Chaired all meetings of employee workplace social benefits committees, including conflict management. Negotiated 35-hour work week, and yearly production coverage work schedule.
- Monthly reporting to the Group in German and US systems
- Supervision of budget and strategic plans.


1996 - 09.1997 : Division Controller of a the European division of Walker Gillet GmbH in Edenkoben (Germany).Subsidiary of the American group Tenneco Automotive, the European division produces exhaust line for the automotive market. Sales: 500 M$, Headcount: 3500 people, 10 companies in Europe, 1 in South Africa.

Responsibilities for: Finance of the Division, consolidation, forecast, budget, strategy plans.

Accomplishments: Merger of two companies in Spain, Analysis of margin per product and countries.

05.1991 – 1995 : Financial Analyst with Eaton Controls Europe GmbH, Kehl (Germany), Carol Stream (USA, ill.), Matamoros (Mexico).

This European headquarter, subsidiary from the American group Eaton Corporation, produces contactors, pressures switches for appliance and automotive market. Annual sales : $480 Million US. Headcount : 4000 people, 11 companies in Europe.

Responsibilities included : the Financial management of the division, consolidation, forecast, budget, strategic planning.

Accomplishments: Played a key role in acquisition of new companies, and their integration into various group financial and data processing systems. This required extensive travel to various company sites including 6 Months in Spain, 6 Months in Germany, 1 year in USA, 6 Months in Mexico.

05.1990 – 04.1991 : Finance and HR Manager of AUDAX Industries
(72) Château du Loir. Sales : 55MF, Headcount : 175 people. The company manufactures loudspeakers for cars
Responsible for finance of the company, the management of Information Technology, and Human Resources along with the responsibility for all company legal affairs.


01.1988 – 04.1990 : Financial Manager of Ernault Toyoda Automation3 plants (HQ in-49 Cholet) in France. Annual sales : 400 MF. Headcount : 600 people.

Responsibilities included: the financial management of the company, and the management of Information Technology, and Human Resources along with the responsibility for all company legal affairs.
Accomplishments: Developed a sales order entry and manufacturing costing system.


11.1985 – 12.1987 : Chief Accountant for major Thomson CSF factory (49 Cholet). Headcount : 2000 employees.

Responsibilities included : the completion of detailed Month End and Year End closing reports, and the supervision of 22 staff members.

Accomplishments : Participated in a pilot project to implement and validate integrated informatics software.
