Running my own management consultancy business with specific focus on the areas where my experience is beneficial and providing services which offer real added value and ROI to the clients.
Working together with a team of external specialists on an interim basis, I’ve successfully concluded several important projects, like :

- Complete management of an investment of risk capital into a fast growing technology company, from drafting Letter of Intent, businessvaluation, performing due-dilligence and setting up the synergy plan
- Advising the entrepreneurs on an MBO of the local countrybranch of a multinational company and arranging the full financing to complete the deal
- Managing a young IT-company into a professional organisation by definining and implementing efficiency and structures, finetuning the business plans and prepare them for external capital

Apr 07 – Jan 08 WESTCON GROUP EUROPE

Senior Vice President Westcon Security (04/07 – 01/08)

Westcon Group acquired the NOXS security division of UNIT4AGRESSO in April 2007 after an intense due diligence and acquisition process, which I managed from the seller side. During this process Westcon required my transition to run their security operations in Europe. The execution was identified as a year of integration and continuing to grow the security business organically.

Leading the international management team, we achieved:
- An immediate physical integration of some of the business units and the engineering of a complete multi-phase integration plan for the others
- Keeping on board the complete local management teams and the key people to the business
- Materializing important synergy effects with existing and new technology vendors
- A complete change and implementation of the global ERP system in 7 countries and the move to and use of the central warehouses of Westcon Group
- Introducing a new global marketing program ‘SecurityPoint’ including the organizational changes of the local departments
- Realizing a business growth higher than the overall market growth of 15%

Oct 90 – Apr 07 UNIT4AGRESSO NV

Chief Executive Officer NOXS (08/05 – 04/07)

As division of UNIT4AGRESSO, the value added distributor NOXS grew towards the European market leadership position in IT security distribution. The constant yearly achievements over performed the market as a cagr of more than 35% and profit margins above the 6% mark were reached.

Leading the executive board, I was responsible for:
- Leading this business to maturity by a strong organic growth and strategic international acquisitions
- Signing up vendor contracts for distribution through out Europe
- Executing a carve-out project, leading to the sales of the organization to a global strategic competitor

Chief Operations Officer (06/00 – 08/05)

UNIT4AGRESSO is a 21 year old pan-European IT company with headquarters in Sliedrecht (The Netherlands) listed on Euronext Amsterdam (Midcap and NEXT150-index) with offices in 9 countries, 1400 people, a turnover of 210m euro and a 12% EBIT margin. The core activities are the value added reselling of third party security solutions (30% of the total business) and developing, selling and servicing E-Business (ERP) solutions targeted to mid sized companies and organizations.



As part of the Board of Directors, I was :
- Together with the CEO, responsible for all operations in the ‘Business software’ division which the country managers are reporting to.
- Besides running the complete ‘Internet & Security’ division with a team of 4 managers, I was coaching the strategic and tactical decisions and heading the R&D center.

Vice President ‘Internet & Security’ (06/98 – 06/00)
When the Unit 4 company went public in Nov 98, the security activities were considered as the second core activity of the company.
As the member of the board, my accomplishments were:
- Responsible for all Security activities in the group, which represented more than €15m of revenues with 5 operating business units in the Benelux and 80 team members.
- Setting up of all Internet related activities, products and services for the ERP activities to enter the company into the E-Business market.
- Building a complete new strategic 5-year plan with focus towards the stakeholders (the AIM2005 plan)
- Responsible for the M&A-activities : in 4 years we acquired more than 12 companies which offered new technologies, more distribution channels and new geographical markets to the company.
- Together with the CEO, I took care of our very important Investor Relations activities. I’ve met and discussed operations and company strategy on a regular basis with analysts, journalists and investors.


General Manager (10/95 – 06/98)

- Responsible for the startup and management of a new business unit of the Unit 4 software group focused on the IT security market.
- Setting up offices in The Netherlands and Belgium and achieving more than €4m of revenues, by managing a team of 25 people – while IT security was considered as a niche market because the general awareness on security threats was very low.
- Scouted a complete third party portfolio of security products (i.e. McAfee, Check Point, NOKIA..), distributed them successfully in the Benelux and built a complete service offering around them (f.e. we were the first company to offer 24hr/7d support on IT security problems like viruses)
- Besides the spectacular organic growth, I selected and executed a number of successful acquisitions and integrated them into the Unit 4 organization.




Business Unit Manager (06/90 – 10/95)

- Managing a geographically focused sales and business development team of a Dutch ERP-software company.
- Revenue targets in excess of $3m with team of 15 people and a Belgian distribution channel of resellers
- Turned the company around towards profitability the first year and grew the business being the competence center for all international projects
