GreenCat is a merger from two companies Groeneveld and Cat Logic. GreenCat develops and implements software for logistics companies. At Greencat Turkey I am responsible for the daily business and also PM for the implementation of their software at our major clients in Turkey.

Cat Logic is a software house with software packages for logistics companies. The projects department of CatLogic has 70 persons working, divided over three countries. I am the delivery manager of all three countries. My role was organizing the department over the three countries and at the same time I was the PM for the larger international projects.


Logica CMG Feb 03 – Oct 03

After the take-over of CMG by Logica, an investigation for Rotterdam was carried out to distinguish how to integrate branches and identify where savings could be made. Working within the Facility Management department I was employed as Project Manager. Primarily, I was required to solely manage all projects and take necessary action to fulfill requirements and deadlines.

In addition to this, in 2004 a target had been set within the Facility Management department to reduce the costs for the former CMG location with a high percentage. As Project Manager was required to deal with the suppliers and identify areas where cost reductions could be made.

During this time I was working as Project Manager for the RFI Harbor Railway Track project. For the European wide ICT tender for the harbor railway track a RFI had to be made. One of my key duties associated with this project was to take full responsibility for the completion of the RFI within pre-set deadlines and budgets.

During this time I was working within the CIS Project. CIS (Central Information Services) manage the hardware that had been leased for CMG in the Benelux. The management was carried out by a software package ITSM with some additions by CMG called Tripod. This way of working asked too much capacity and was not flexible. I was responsible for recording current procedures and to start a new procedure in which to select an asset management package.

Whilst here, I asked several suppliers to develop a proposal for a new network. I then selected the best solution from these proposals and looked into the possibility of hosting the AS400 on a central location. Because of this, the company had the possibility to centralise the software.

Levi’s EMEA Jan 00 – Feb 01

In January 2000, I was asked by Levi’s to lead the supervision and implementation of a supply-chain application.

In 1997, Levis started to develop a supply chain package for the production plants and the local sales organisations. In September 1999, a rollout took place to 16 plants and contractors. This caused various problems. I was therefore asked to take control of this project and initiate a new development and implementation plan. A new rollout took place in March and April 2000. The system is now fully operational for two companies at 53 plants worldwide. After the rollout a new project had been set up to redevelop this package as web enabled. The development and installation of the web version is successful completed in January and February of 2001. The budget for the project was around $ 500,000. I was additionally working as interim manager of the MS team. In the team were 6 individuals from Levi’s and four external contractors. One of my key tasks was to create a budget for the department for 2001.


Levi’s EMEA Nov 98 – Dec 99

At this time, Levi’s were already two years on its way to solving the Y2K problem. Within three months, no progress had been made. Firstly, I reorganised the project, inventoried all the outstanding work and then created a new project-plan. The project involved all the affiliates and plants in Europe, Middle East and Africa. To keep track of the progress I also visited the sites to perform audits. The total budget for the project had been $12,000,000.

The client wanted a template for the business contingency; all branches had to work with this template. In this way they wanted to get ahead that anything would be forgotten.


FANUC Robotics Oct 97 –Oct 98

Here, I was asked to assist in the development of a business model as the present project group did not know how to complete the model.

First we had to reorganise the model since some of the basic assumptions how to model were not right. After that we finished the model within two months. In addition, a steering committee was to make all the decisions for the project. In the steering committee I was responsible for modifications, conversions and also helping to guard that decisions made did not cause problems in other areas. From March 1998 I was responsible for the whole project. All other members of the steering comity had left the company. The implementation of Baan existed of Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing inclusive PCS, Big Projects and Service. The implemented version is Baan Ivc. The budget for the project was around $15,000,000. Outside of project-management I also was involved in implementing of the Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing modules. I also gave training in the use of the DEM tool of Baan and made a start with a project model for a manufacturing company in Spatenburg, South Carolina.
