During a three week period responsible for the preparation and the giving of this training to new hires of Andersen Consulting. In a goal based scenario learning environment the new hires are taught in a simulated way a number of key tasks of a Change Management consultant. Topics which are covered, include the development of a computer based training, the creation of a communication plan, effective and efficient meeting and presentation skills; working under stress; and adding client value.
• Team member Finance for the SAP R/3 implementation at Yokogawa Europe (FOCUS project). As such, responsible for the development of the functional SAP R/3 courses in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and asset management. Also responsible for developing the necessary documentation for the system authorizations for future end users in the area of financials.
• Responsible for delivering a scoping report for an SAP R/3 implementation at MEGA Limburg (the utility company for the province of Limburg, The Netherlands). In the end, this scoping phase led to Andersen Consulting winning the bid for the implementation.
• Andersen Consulting team lead Logistics during the SAP R/3 implementation at MEGA Limburg (ICARUS-project). Main activities: creating the integrated process flow for logistics; projection of this process flow on SAP R/3; developing the conversion approach; leading the customizing of the MM module (incl. link with HTML-pages through the document management system of SAP R/3) and partially the SD and PP modules; developing a business case to illustrate the added value of the SAP R/3 implementation; and developing an impact assessment for the implementation.
• Andersen Consulting team lead On-Line Quick Reference (OLQR) during the SAP R/3 implementation at MEGA Limburg (ICARUS-project). Main activities: creating a development plan for a web-based and context sensitive OLQR; leading the development of 900+ transaction descriptions, process flows and procedures for the functional areas of Project Administration, Logistics and Finance; leading the conversion of these to HTML pages in an intranet environment; and ensuring the linkage with SAP R/3 to realize the context sensitivity.
• Andersen Consulting team lead User Acceptance Test during the SAP R/3 implementation at MEGA Limburg (ICARUS-project). Main activities: supporting the team members in terms of content knowledge of the processes and SAP R/3 functionality to be tested; give point-of-need training to the user acceptance testers; creating the necessary templates for the acceptance testers; and writing the final user acceptance report, which finalizes the findings of the user acceptance test team.
• Andersen Consulting team lead Application Management during the SAP R/3 implementation at MEGA Limburg (ICARUS-project). Main activities: supporting the creation of authorization matrices and customizing the Profile Generator for simplified creation of the authorizations in SAP R/3; supporting all manual and automatic conversion activities; customizing Application Link Enabling (ALE) in order to transport large amounts of basic data between clients and systems; developing a business readiness assessment; planning and leading the post-implementation support effort after ‘going live’; developing a ‘Find the money’ initiative for MEGA Limburg.
• At Andersen Consulting responsible for creating the presentation ‘Andersen Consulting: Information Support in the Energy Generation Sector’ for a sales pitch at EPZ (the energy generation company for the southern part of The Netherlands).
• At Andersen Consulting responsible for creating the change action plan for the program Omslag INFRA 2000 at Energie Noord West (the utility company for the north western part of The Netherlands). This plan describes the 12 tracks of change (including a large scale SAP R/3 implementation) for the period until April 2000 at the energy delivery company of ENW and includes a description of the necessary project organization, as well as a detailed project planning and a description of the added value of Andersen Consulting’s Utilities model for ENW. Furthermore co-responsible for developing the proposal and action plan to actually sell the SAP R/3 project as part of the program Omslag INFRA 2000.
• Team lead Planning & Projects in the program Omslag INFRA 2000 at Energie Noord West (ENW; since the merger with NUON: NUON Noord-Holland). As such, responsible for leading the effort to restructure the planning processes, project these new processes on SAP R/3 and standardize the project administration at NUON Noord-Holland. This effort was partially a harmonization of the different processes and SAP R/3 support of the former regionally organized companies in the service area of NUON Noord-Holland and partially a ‘full scale’ implementation at REGEV, which was acquired by ENW (and used to work with Baan Triton).
• Team lead Training & User Documentation in the program Omslag INFRA 2000 at NUON Noord-Holland. As such, responsible for leading the effort to develop basic SAP R/3 training, process training (in the form of process games) and position-based SAP R/3 training. Furthermore responsible for leading the effort to develop a web-based and context sensitive On-Line Quick Reference, which encompassed all of the new processes and the corresponding SAP R/3 transaction descriptions.
• Project manager of the Front Office, Back Office and Mid-Market Deployment teams of the Nukleon project, which focused on realizing a NUON wide Customer Care Center. As such, responsible for leading the effort to define the front and back office processes and the corresponding customizing of SAP IS-U/CCS, as well as getting the department for the Mid-Market customers up to speed for ‘go live’ (finalizing process design, training, user documentation, authorizations, etc.).
• Project manager of the Process & System Development and Free Mass Market teams of the KERN project, which focused on implementing SAP IS-U/CCS for Essent Retail and Essent Network. As such, responsible for leading the effort to map the defined front and back office processes onto SAP IS-U/CCS and perform the corresponding customizing of SAP IS-U/CCS. As one of the two second tier project managers, responsible for integration of the test, training, development, customizing and technical issues and for developing the Application Support Organization after the final of four legacy system conversions in May 2003.
• Project manager of all SAP IS-U/CCS, CRM and BW development activities (‘design, build, run’) of Essent Retail Solutions, including among others the projects Change IT (for ECH releases and Change Requests), TASCO (for the replacement of Siebel by SAP IS-U CIC and the introduction of profile billing at Essent Energie B2B) and Collective Customers (for handling all issues regarding this specific group of Essent customers). Furthermore Accenture account manager for all 4th line support activities, which are being performed near shore for Essent Retail Solutions.
• Managing Consultant – SAP Business Consulting & Projectmanagement BV, a new company in the NEKCS network created by five former Accenture / Andersen Consulting project managers and focused on offering high value SAP, business consulting and project management services.
